Something to think about this Easter Sunday:

So wherever you assemble, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy. 9And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. 10For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do.

I Timothy 2:8-9

Most preachers are men, I'm guessing that's why I've never heard that passage preached on before....(and it's not King James, so it doesn't count...I just had to say that)
No, I promise I won't paint my eyelids, wear gold or pearls, or fix my hair all spiffy on Sunday.

And for that we're all grateful, Aaron.

Actually, he could probably wear a flowery shirt with a not-so-sublte tie and who would notice? And I read this every day!

I have to say, since I moved up north, I haven't seen many adult women dressing up extra for Easter Sunday.  I get the distinct impression that up north, that is a cultural custom only for children and most specifically little girls.  I did see a guy Sunday wearing a tie that had the full Crucifixion, Burial, and Resurrection on it.  (It was a tall guy)

You need to post something new, like maybe a review of the new Jill Phillips album. (I really like it)
